For 75 years, the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. has sponsored their International Talent Hunt Showcase. The program was started to give high school students an opportunity to showcase their talents in several different disciplines. Today, students perform in vocal, instrumental, dance, spoken word, and visual arts categories.
Epsilon Xi Chapter of the fraternity, located in Sacramento CA, has been an active participant in the Talent Hunt program since 1978 when the chapter was chartered.
The Virtual 2021 Talent Hunt show (alternative to in-person program) and viewing for the public will be held on April 3, 2021 @ 3:00 pm and conducted using a virtual platform in a webinar form only. A master of ceremony will introduce the category of performance and play the different pre-recorded performances. After all video performances have been completed, the winner will be announced. Contestants must be in high school at the time of the event. Audition files will be previewed and finalist will be chosen to perform in the show. Awards will be distributed as follows:
First Place:
Will perform in the District competition (12 western states representatives) May 15, 2021
$300 Award
Second Place: $200 Award
Third Place: $100 Award
